Man charged after knife pulled during fight

A Sunday night fight in St. Thomas that saw a knife get pulled has led to charges against a 38-year-old man.

St. Thomas police said they were called to the area of Forest Avenue and Highview Avenue by a concerned neighbour who reported hearing yelling and seeing a man bleeding in the front yard. Investigators learned there had been a fight involving two men inside a home. According to police, a knife was pulled and one of the men suffered cuts to his ear and hand.

Police said a search of the area, that included the K9 unit, led to the arrest of a suspect at a home on Wellington Street.

Christopher Doxtator, 38, is charged with one count aggravated assault. Police said a 41-year-old woman has also been charged with one count of assault.
