Teen seriously injured in ATV crash

A 15-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle while riding an ATV in Waterford.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported the crash on Tuesday just before 5 p.m. and said the ATV collided into the side of a vehicle at the intersection of Main Street and Sovereign Street

The teen riding the ATV suffered serious injuries and remains in hospital.  Police said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and it most likely saved his life.

The OPP said an investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Main Street will remain closed at Sovereign Street while officers are at the scene.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
