Apartment fire leads to charges

A man is facing charges after a fire at an apartment building on King Street.

Fire crews were called to the apartment building around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

"There were no injuries reported. Initial assessment of the damage suggested that the fire was suspicious in nature, therefore the Fire Inspector and London Police Service held the scene and continue to investigate," police said in a statement issued Wednesday.

An investigation led to the arrest of 40-year-old Benjamin Clark of London. He is with charged possession of a Schedule I substance and arson with disregard for human life
