Stolen van hits cop car, three other vehicles

London police are searching for a suspect after a police cruiser and three other vehicles were hit by a stolen van.

Police were called about a man sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Sarnia Road and Wonderland Road North around 3:05 p.m. on Monday.

As officers approached, the man turned on the engine and drove the van into a police cruiser before hitting three other vehicles as he took off from the parking lot. No one was hurt in the collisions.

The van was found a short time later. Police determined it had been reported stolen.

The male suspect is described as Caucasian between 25-30 years old.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
