Beatles records worth $45K stolen during break-in

Police are looking for suspects with serious Beatlemania after 26 vintage Beatles records were stolen from a home north of Goderich.

The Ontario Provincial Police said sometime between 12 p.m. on January 4 and 1 p.m. on January 8, an unknown number of suspects broke into a home on River Mill Line in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.

The thieves made off with a number of valuables including the record collection, which is valued at around $45,000. One of the stolen albums is a Spanish Beatles album pressed in 1964, titled "Lost Beatles" and is valued at $7,000.

Other items stolen were a blue and yellow Taco 22 brand mini bike with a $3,000 value, a black Realistic brand record player with a ruby needle, a chrome Dewalt torque wrench with a half inch drive, and various Snap-On hand tools valued at around $43,000.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
