Pedestrian critically injured in collision with vehicle

A 13-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a vehicle in southeast London.

London police said it happened on Deveron Crescent near Pond Mills Road just after 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Authorities said the pedestrian was rushed to hospital.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation.

Police are reminding drivers and pedestrians to be aware of their surroundings and be safe and courteous in their travels.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
