Lightning knock down the Titans 108-104

The London Lightning defeated the KW Titans 108-104 on Thursday to snap a three-game losing streak.

The Lightning struck hard in the first quarter to take a 13-point lead, which they extended to a 62-46 advantage over the Titans heading into halftime.  However, the Titans fought back in the third and cut London's lead to 81-79 by the end of the frame, and then gained and 84-81 lead just over halfway through the fourth.  The Lightning regained their lead in the final minutes of the game to win with a narrow four-point advantage at the buzzer.

Maurice Bolden scored a game-high 23 points for London and he also had 10 rebounds. Garrett Williamson put up another 17 points and had five assists, while Marcus Capers added 14 points and ten rebounds.

The Lightning will travel to Newfoundland on Saturday to battle the St. John's edge at 4:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
