Fiery crash between car, city bus

A vehicle burst into flames after colliding with a London Transit bus on a residential street in the east-end on Friday.

The four-door sedan was heading east on Culver Drive, near Clarke Road and Oxford Street East, when it collided with a westbound bus around 9:40 a.m., according to London police.

Video of the aftermath of the crash was posted to social media and shows the car engulfed in flames as thick black smoke billows into the air.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and London Transit was able to send another bus to pick up the stranded passengers.

Police noted the roads at the time were very slippery. No charges are going to be laid.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
