Lightning hold off Storm 105-93

Maurice Bolden and Garrett Williamson each sank 18 points as the London Lightning beat the Island Storm 105-93 Saturday night at Budweiser Gardens.

London is now 11-12 in game play this season while the struggling Storm fell to 4-15.

The game was relatively even in the first half, with the Storm taking a 45-41 edge at halftime. London pulled away with a 32-21 run in the third quarter and held an additional lead down the stretch.

Jaylen Babb-Harrison and A.J. Gaines Jr. each added 16 points off the bench for the Lightning. Williamson and Marcus Capers bounced ten rebounds apiece to lead London's defensive efforts.

Guillaume Boucard led all scorers with 24 points for the Storm and added 13 rebounds to get the double-double. Sampson Carter contributed 20 points while Tyree White sank 19 points off the bench.

The Lightning continue their homestand Sunday afternoon when they host the Sudbury Five.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
