The death of a 61-year-old man in Malahide over the weekend is not being considered suspicious.

Elgin OPP were called to a home on Lyons Line near Imperial Road around 7 p.m. on Sunday by the man's family. According to police, the family had become concerned after the man left the home and did not return.

Officers, with assistance from the canine unit, found the man, unresponsive, near a creek south of Lyons Line. Attempts to revive the man were unsuccessful.

An autopsy has been scheduled to confirm the cause of death, but foul play is not suspected at this time, police said.
