Knights blow away the Storm 6-1

The London Knights made short work of the Guelph Storm with a 6-1 victory at Budweiser Gardens on Wednesday.

Matvey Guskov scored early in the first period and Adam Boqvist added another goal just after 12 minutes to give London a 2-0 lead, which lasted throughout a scoreless second period.

Guskov scored his second goal of the night 5:05 into the third, and Joey Keane, Josh Nelson and Sahil Panwar all added another to extend the Knights' lead to 6-0 with just over three minutes left in the game.  The Storm finally scored to make it on the board with 1:01 left to play, but it was too little too late for the Guelph team.

London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 37 saves out of 38 shots on net.

The Knights return to the ice on Friday to take on the Erie Otters. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. in London.
