Londoners charged in Saugeen First Nations drug bust

A tip about possible drug trafficking in the Saugeen First Nations territory led police to arrest two Londoners.

South Bruce OPP began investigating after receiving information about suspected drug trafficking. Officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 21 in Saugeen Shores in relation to the case last Friday. Cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone, dilaudid, and methamphetamine with a combined value of $3,590 was seized.

Officers also seized various drug paraphernalia, an undisclosed amount of cash, and the vehicle.

A 34-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man, both from London, are charged with five counts each of possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking.

They are scheduled to return to Walkerton court in relation to the charges on March 13.
