Police identify 402 crash victim

A London woman has been identified as the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 402.

Middlesex OPP said Lisa Noordhof, 33, of London died after her SUV left the eastbound lanes of the highway near Glendon Drive around 2 a.m. Monday. Her vehicle hit the overpass before coming to rest in the median. Police said Noordhof was pronounced dead at the scene.

The collision forced the closure of the highway for several hours. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

"Anyone with further information that has not spoken to police as of yet is asked to contact the Middlesex County OPP at 1-888-310-1122," police said in a statement.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
