London man charged in Waterloo shooting

A London man is facing charges in connection with a shooting that happened in Waterloo.

Waterloo Regional Police said officers were called to the area of King Street near Dupont Street in Waterloo around 2 a.m. on September 28, 2018 for a report of a shooting. Two men were taken to hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

"On March 21, 2019, Waterloo Regional Police arrested a 32-year-old London male in connection to this incident," Waterloo police said in a news release issued Friday. "He faces several charges, including pointing a firearm, unlawful possession of a firearm, and two counts of assault causing bodily harm."

The man's name has not been released.
