Harassing text messages lead to charges

An 18-year-old St. Thomas man is facing serious charges after a woman was harassed and threatened.

According to St. Thomas police, a 19-year-old woman began receiving unwanted text messages from a man. The messages escalated until the woman came home to find the man sitting in his vehicle in her driveway on Tuesday.

Police were called to the home and arrested the man without incident.

An 18-year-old man is charged with criminal harassment and uttering threats to cause bodily harm.
