Knights blank Storm 7-0 in Game 2

The London Knights crushed the Guelph Storm 7-0 in Game 2 of their playoff series in London on Sunday.

Kevin Hancock started the scoring for the Knights, scoring 3:23 into the first period.

Matvey Guskov extended their lead by one in the second period.

There was no slowing down the Knights when the third period came around. They began the period quickly with a goal at just 0:31 by Liam Foudy. Josh Nelson joined in not long after with a goal at 1:02. Hancock scored his second goal of the game pushing the Knights in the lead by 5. Adam Boqvist and William Lochead both scored on a power play, extending the Knights lead and making it 7-0.

London goaltender Jordan Kooy saved all 27 shots on net.

The Knights will face the Storm in Game 3 in Guelph on Monday. The puck drops at 7 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
