UPDATE: Police investigate shooting

London police are investigating after an early morning shooting on Bridle Path.

According to police, they responded to a disturbance call in the area of Arbour Glen Cresent on Saturday just before 3 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene they were informed that the sound of gunshots had been heard by a resident however, a search of the area showed no evidence that a shooting occurred.

Police received additional information later in the day on Saturday and attended the nearby intersection of Bridle Path and Country Lane where they were able to locate evidence that shots had been fired as well as evidence that someone may have been injured. Officers learned that a car had attended the area around 2:55 a.m. and that up to six shots were fired westward from the vehicle.

At this time no victims have been identified. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call the London Police Service at 519-661-5670 or contact Crime Stoppers anonymously at  1-800-222-TIPS.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
