Man charged in downtown stabbing

A London man is facing charges after a stabbing in downtown London.

On Saturday at around 2:20 a.m. a resident alerted police to the area of Wellington Street and York Street. Police found a 23-year-old man with a knife wound to his left abdomen. The man was taken to the hospital where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was found in the area and was taken into custody.

Police say the men do not have any known relationship to each other.

Alexander Baggaley, 23, of London, has been charged with aggravated assault, and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
