Man facing multiple sexual assault charges living in London

Police in London are alerting the public that a man living the city is currently facing charges for allegedly sexually assaulting women at bus shelters.

On October 7, 2018, a 17-year-old girl was sexually assaulted as she waited for a bus on Oxford Street near Proudfoot Lane in London.  Trevor Kamhunga, 32, of London was arrested and charged in connection with that incident on October 30, 2018.

He has also been charged with uttering threats, forcible confinement, obstructing police and four counts of sexual assault, for similar incidents that occurred in the Peel Region between September 24, 2018 and October 20, 2018.

"It is alleged there was inappropriate contact of a sexual nature with a number of women while they were in or near bus shelters," London police said in a media release.

Police are urging members of the public to be aware of their surroundings, especially when alone and within a bus shelter. Always be alert and cautious if a stranger encroaches upon your personal space, police added.
