Father, daughters pepper sprayed downtown

London police are looking for a suspect after a man was pepper-sprayed while walking with his young daughters downtown on Canada Day.

The 41-year-old man was with his daughters, aged eight and nine, at the intersection of Thames Street and York Street around 10:20 p.m. Monday when he was approached from behind by a stranger and pepper sprayed. The individual with the inflammatory substance took off northbound on Thames Street immediately after the incident.

The man and his two daughters, who also suffered the effects of the spray, were treated by paramedics.
