Woman killed in multi-vehicle crash

A multi-vehicle crash southwest of London has claimed the life of a 23-year-old woman.

Strathroy-Caradoc police were called after three vehicles collided on Adelaide Road, near Olde Drive around 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday.

According to police, a northbound vehicle crossed the centre line and clipped a southbound vehicle. It then collided head-on with a pickup truck.

The driver and lone occupant of the northbound vehicle, an unidentified 23-year-old woman, was rushed to hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her family has requested her name not be publicly released.

Two men from the truck were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not hurt.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
