Former antique warehouse building set ablaze east of Stratford

Thick black smoke could be seen as fire firefighters from the Sebringville, Shakespeare and Milverton Fire Stations of Perth East Fire Department, City of Stratford Fire Department and Perth County Paramedics battled a fire East of Stratford on Sunday.

Emergency services responded shortly after 3:00 p.m. for a structure fire on Forest Road at a former antique warehouse.

Perth County OPP temporarily closed Highway 7/8 in between Perth Road 110 and Road 110 in Perth East and have since reopened the road.

There has been no confirmation on how the fire started or the cost of damages.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
