One dead in three-vehicle crash

One person is dead following a three-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle east of London.

The Ontario Provincial Police reported the crash on Monday shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Hamilton Road at Breen Road in the Dorchester area.  Police said an eastbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic and struck the side mirror of one vehicle, before crashing head-on into a motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead. The person's identity is not being released until next of kin have been notified.

The driver of the eastbound vehicle was also taken to hospital with unknown injuries.

Hamilton Road between Breen Road and Rath Street were closed for several hours while officers were at the scene. It has since been reopened.

The crash remains under investigation.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
