Weapons charges laid against man with pellet gun

A London man, allegedly packing a pellet gun that caused police to swarm an east-end home on Wednesday, is now facing a handful of weapons charges.

A concerned citizen called London police around 12:45 p.m. after spotting a person they believed was carrying a firearm. Officers rushed to the area where they located a suspect inside a home on Trafalgar Street, east of Egerton Street.

No one was hurt and a pellet gun was seized during the investigation, police said.

A 33-year-old man was arrested. He is now charged with possession of a weapon, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation.

The man is scheduled to appear in London court in relation to the charges on Thursday.
