Van clipped by train

It was a close call for a driver whose minivan was clipped by a passing train near downtown London.

The van was stopped at the rail crossing east of Horton Street East and Maitland Street around 1:15 a.m. on Tuesday when the front-end was hit, London police said.

The investigation is ongoing, but police believe the van had pulled up too close to the tracks.

Fortunately, no one was hurt and damage was considered to be minor.
