Heavy rain to fall Wednesday

Southwestern Ontario is in for a soaking on Wednesday.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for London-Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Sarnia-Lambton, Chatham-Kent, and Windsor-Essex.

The national weather agency expects showers and thunderstorms to continue throughout the morning, dumping between 20-40 millimetres of rain locally.

The wet weather should taper off by the afternoon.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
