Trailer with $471K worth of shoes stolen

Provincial police in Oxford County are searching for a trailer containing nearly half a million dollars worth of shoes that was stolen from a north Woodstock parking lot.

Thieves snatched a black 2017 Volvo transport truck and a white 2019 VS2 van trailer from the parking yard on Hwy. 59 south around 4 a.m. on Sunday. The big rig was located roughly 12 hours later in Toronto, but the trailer, fully loaded with Blundstone footwear, is still missing.

Police are asking anyone with information about this incident to call them at 1-800-310-1122 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
