Motorcyclist killed in collision

A collision near Parkhill has claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

According to Middlesex OPP, the collision happened Thursday around 9:30 p.m. on Grand Bend Road. A motorcycle and another vehicle collided, killing the motorcyclist. The people in the vehicle suffered minor injuries.

"The preliminary investigation has revealed that the passenger vehicle and motorcycle were both travelling northbound when the motorcycle rear-ended the passenger vehicle," police said in a news release issued Friday afternoon.

The name of the motorcyclist has not yet been released.
