Speeding vehicle blows tire in roundabout

Dangerous driving charges have been laid against a 19-year-old London man after a vehicle spotted racing others in St. Thomas lost control and blew a tire in a roundabout.

St. Thomas police officers saw a vehicle travelling at a "high rate of speed" along Sunset Drive around 10:30 p.m. Sunday night.

Police believe the driver of the vehicle was racing other drivers at the time.

The driver lost control of the vehicle in a roundabout, a short time later, blowing a tire.

No one was hurt.

A 19-year-old London man was arrested without incident. He is now charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle. The vehicle has been impounded for seven days.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
