Cyclist critically hurt in southwest-end collision

A cyclist is fighting for their life after being hit by a vehicle in the Westmount area early Thursday morning.

London police have released few details about the crash, other than to say a vehicle collided with a cyclist on Commissioners Road at Andover Drive shortly after 12 a.m.

The unidentified cyclist was rushed to hospital and is listed in critical condition.

Commissioners Road between Andover Drive and Knights Hill Road was closed for roughly six hours while the police traffic management unit investigated the cause of the collision. The roadway was reopened just before 6 a.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
