Three injured in London house fire

Three people, including two firefighters, have been hospitalized following a house fire in east London.

The London Fire Department said it happened around 10 a.m. Thursday on Glenwood Avenue off Hamilton Road.

Fire officials described the blaze as "stubborn." It took about an hour to bring the fire under control and keep it from spreading to the attic, according to the LFD's Twitter page. Firefighters were still on scene at 1:30 p.m. to handle hot spots. Investigators are on scene to determine the cause and damage estimate.

Fire officials said one resident was taken to hospital as a precaution. Two firefighters were also transported and treated for heat exhaustion.
