London teen arrested for driving wrong way on Highway 403

A 19-year-old from London is facing charges after police stopped a vehicle driving the wrong way on Highway 403 near Brantford.

The Ontario Provincial Police said a citizen reported the vehicle driving east in the westbound lanes of the highway near Bishopsgate Road, at around 11:15 p.m. on Wednesday.

Officers located the vehicle shortly after and arrested the driver, who was believed to under the influence of drugs.

As a result, 19-year-old Andres Toth of London impaired operation of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and having cannabis readily available while operating a vehicle.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
