Construction closes section of Fanshawe Park Road

Starting Monday, drivers will have to detour around Fanshawe Park Road between Hyde Park Road and Denfield Road.

The City of London announced in a statement that the section of the road between Mallard Road and Denfield Road will be fully closed for construction for about two weeks daily, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Drivers will still have access to local businesses and local traffic can get to Mallard Road off of Hyde Park Road, the city said in the statement.

Drivers heading east or west are advised to go north to Sunningdale Road or south to Gainsborough Road.

The road will be re-opened at the end of each day.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
