Two attacked outside of LGBTQ nightclub

Two people were hurt in what London police believe was a hate-motivated attack outside of a downtown LGBTQ nightclub over the weekend.

Police were called about a disturbance outside of Lavish at 238 Dundas St. around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.

When officers arrived they found two people with injuries from an assault. They were treated by paramedics.

"The assault has been deemed hate/bias-motivated," said police. "At this time no charges have been laid as the investigation is still in the preliminary stages."

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
