Two sought in sweet corn theft

Provincial police are looking for a pair of corn thieves in Oxford County.

The OPP were called about the theft from a field on 16th Line in East Zorra-Tavistock Township around 4:45 p.m. last Wednesday.

Two people were seen cutting down stalks of sweet corn from the field and loading them into the trunk of a black Chevrolet Impala, according to police.

The pair left the area in an unknown direction before officers arrived at the scene.

Police continue to investigate the theft and are asking anyone with information to give them a call at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
