One arrested after downtown stabbing

London police say they have a man in custody after a stabbing in the downtown core.

Around 8:40 a.m. Wednesday, police were called to the area of Horton Street and Wellington Street about a man running into traffic. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from stab wounds. He was taken to hospital with injuries police described as "non-life-threatening."

A suspect was arrested around 2:30 p.m.

Police are still investigating and are asking anyone with information to call the London Police Service at (519) 661-5670 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Information can also be sent in online anonymously to www.londoncrimestoppers.com.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
