Man charged after handgun, sawed off shotgun seized

London police have a man in custody and have taken two guns off the streets after a bust in the northwest end of the city.

Officers with the Guns and Drugs Section searched a home on Brunswick Crescent on Thursday and seized a .410 gauge sawed-off shotgun and a .25 calibre handgun. They also seized dozens of rounds of ammunition.

Kokoete Anietie Udoh, 38, of London, is charged with:

  • Two counts of possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon or prohibited device
  • Resisting arrest
  • Possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order
  • Two counts of possession of a loaded/unloaded regulated firearm
  • Three counts of careless storage of firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
