Police looking for suspicious man after teens offered ride

Police are looking for a suspicious man after two teenaged girls were offered a ride in Woodstock.

The Woodstock Police Service said on Tuesday, a 14-year-old girl and a 15-year-old girl were walking on Adelaide Street when a white pickup truck approached them and the driver asked if they needed a ride. The pickup truck kept going and the girls returned to Woodstock Collegiate Institute.

The man driving the white truck is described as being around 28 years old or older.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 519-537-2323 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 529-421-TIPS (8477).

The Woodstock Police Service said officers are reminding parents to go over safety tips with their children with regards to road safety and stranger safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
