Youth stabbed during fight in parking lot

A 17-year-old has been charged after another youth was stabbed outside of a restaurant in Tillsonburg.

The Ontario Provincial Police said on Saturday shortly before 9:35 p.m., two youths became involved in an argument in a parking lot on Broadway Street, which escalated into a physical fight. One of the youths was then stabbed and the attacker fled the scene.

A suspect was located and arrested shortly after without incident.

The victim was rushed to a local hospital before being transfered to a hospital in London to be treated for serious life-threatening injuries.

A 17-year-old youth, who cannot be identified because of his/her age, has now been charged with aggravated assault.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
