Police renew call for help in fatal hit-and-run

Police are again asking for the public's help for information in connection with a hit-and-run collision that claimed the life of a Port Hope man in 2011.

The Ontario Provincial Police said 20-year-old Chad Everets was struck and killed by a vehicle while he was walking along Cockshutt Road,  north of Port Dover, on May 14, 2011 at around 5:17 a.m.  The unknown vehicle did not stop and left the scene.

The OPP said an investigation remains ongoing and police officials are asking anyone with information to come forward.

Anyone who may have seen Everets or the vehicle on that day he was struck and killed is asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Those who wish to remain anonymous can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).
