401 crash victim identified

Provincial police say a man killed in a collision on Highway 401 in London was going the wrong way in the westbound lanes.

Middlesex OPP were called to the westbound lanes of the highway at Wonderland Road around 9 p.m. Monday after a vehicle and a transport truck collided head-on.

"The investigation has revealed that a passenger vehicle entered Highway 401 at Wonderland Road and was travelling eastbound in the westbound lanes," police said in a news release issued Tuesday morning.

The driver of the passenger vehicle, who was pronounced dead at the scene, has been identified as 23-year-old Ronald Elijah-Brown of London.

The driver of the transport truck suffered minor injuries.

The collision forced the closure of the westbound 401 between the 402 cut-off and Wonderland Road for several hours.
