Youth in hospital after falling from moving vehicle

A young male is in hospital after falling from the top of a vehicle in an east London parking lot.

Emergency crews were called to the parking lot of the retail plaza at 330 Clarke Rd. around 11 a.m. Thursday. A youth had fallen from the top of a vehicle when it came to an abrupt stop.

The boy was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

"The investigation has been reassigned to our Traffic Management Unit and the circumstances surrounding what took place is ongoing at this time," police said in a news release issued Thursday afternoon.
