Charges laid in teen's fall from vehicle roof

A day after a young man was seriously injured in a fall from the roof of a vehicle, charges have been laid against the vehicle's 17-year-old driver.

Emergency crews were called to the Argyle Mall parking lot at 330 Clarke Rd. around 11 a.m. on Thursday after a 15-year-old boy fell from the roof when the vehicle stopped abruptly.

The teen was taken to hospital, where he remained in serious condition on Friday, London police said.

A 17-year-old, who cannot be identified because of his age, is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm. He will appear in London court in relation to the charge on November 4.
