Sarnia man identified in fatal crash near London

Provincial police have identified a 48-year-old from Sarnia as the man killed in a two-vehicle crash involving a transport truck northwest of London.

A white pickup truck collided with a transport truck at the intersection of Nairn Road and Ilderton Road in Middlesex Centre around 6:45 a.m. on Thursday. The force of the crash sent both vehicles into the ditch.

The pickup driver, Edward Keuchkerian, 48, of Sarnia, was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The transport driver was treated for minor injuries.

According to police, the pickup truck was headed eastbound on Ilderton Road when it failed to stop for a stop sign and collided with the southbound transport truck.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
