A$AP Rocky pulls out of Purple Fest

The headlining act of Western University's Purple Fest has pulled out of the event at the last minute.

Rapper  A$AP Rocky was set to hit the stage at TD Stadium on Saturday. However, late Friday night, he announced on his Twitter page that he would be unable to enter Canada due to Visa complications stemming from his Sweden 'incident.'  According to CNN, the rapper was convicted of assault by a Swedish court back in August.

Purple Fest was organized as a way to help draw people away from the unsanctioned Fake Homecoming parties set to take place this weekend. The other musical acts- A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, Tyga, and bülow, are still set to perform.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
