Woodstock police were called to the collision on Ingersoll Road, just west of Anderson Street around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
The female driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to hospital in London with injuries described as "serious."
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
Ingersoll Road was closed for several hours while police were on scene. It has since been reopened.
Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
