Charges laid in downtown brawl

Four males are now facing charges in connection with a brawl on Tuesday.

The incident in the area of Dundas and Maitland Streets happened around 11:30 a.m. and resulted in five people being taken to hospital. One of the injured people suffered stab wounds, according to police. The knife used in the stabbing has not been recovered. Police also said that all five people taken to hospital have since been released.

"Because video of the disturbance has been broadcast in the media and some of those involved are under the age of 18, the London Police Service will not be releasing any additional information in relation to this incident," police said in a news release issued Wednesday.

Police say four males are facing assault and weapons-related charges.
