House fire sends one to hospital

A house fire in west London caused about $60,000 in damage and sent one person to hospital.

The London Fire Department was called to a home on Southcrest Drive on Friday morning. Crews quickly put out the blaze and began ventilating the house. A fire official says an elderly couple lived in the home. They got out of the house before firefighters arrived. One was taken to hospital.

It's believed the cause of the fire was cooking-related. However, an investigation will be done to determine the exact cause.
