Knights edge Battalion 4-3

Ryan Merkley led the London Knights to a 4-3 victory over the North Bay Battalion on Friday.

The Battalion was first on the board with a goal late in the first period and they added another 7:26 into the second for a 2-0 lead.

The Knights travel to Owen Sound on Saturday to take on the Attack at 7:30 p.m.Merkley scored for London 13:17 into the second and then added another 15 seconds into the third to tie the game. The Knights took the lead after Liam Foudy was able to score just over 10 minutes into the frame, but North Bay tied it up again but scoring with just over two minutes left in the game.

Connor McMichael scored the game-winner for London with 1:05 left to play.

Knights goalie Dylan Myskiw made 14 saves out of 17 shots on net.

The Knights travel to Owen Sound on Saturday to take on the Attack at 7:30 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
