String of fires under investigation

Police in St. Thomas are asking for the public's help as they investigate a string of suspicious fires.

Over the last three weeks, emergency crews have been called to several fires throughout the city that are considered suspicious.

Within 24 hours over the weekend, St. Thomas police said there were two more suspicious blazes in the area of Churchill Crescent.

Police are asking anyone with surveillance video or information about these fires to call them at 519-631-1224.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
